 MKM Racing was started originally by trainer Kate Milligan. Unfortunately Kate has suffered from Multiple Sclerosis (MS) for a number of years and now due to the progression of the condition her former assistant
Simon West has now taken over the day to day training and running of the yard ~ but as ever under the watchful
eye of Kate!

The yard continues to offer all the benefits of being small and friendly with a revitalized approach, actively encouraging openness to its owners and with a variety of flexible ownership opportunities

Simon West has lived in Middleham since the age of six where he soon got the racing bug and on leaving school found employment with then trainer Alan Harrison. He next spent many years learning his trade with the hugely successful George Moore team.
Simon has the loyal and dedicated support of staff members John Nicholson and Lynn Iveson - he is very approachable and only too happy to discuss all aspects of racehorse ownership with prospective new owners, syndicates or partnerships.
